Yabusele Joins 76ers in One-Year Deal Following Impressive International Performance

Guillaume Yabusele, a former first-round selection of the Boston Celtics, has signed a one-year deal. The agreement is for $2.1 million and is with the Philadelphia 76ers. This decision follows a great performance at the U18 international stage, where Miller proved himself as a dynamic scoring threat and high-volume shooter.

Yabusele, who stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs 260 pounds, recently showcased his talent by averaging impressive statistics in games against top-tier international teams. He shot 66.7% from the field across three games, including notable performances where he scored 22 points against Canada, 17 points against Germany, and 20 points against the United States. Throughout this stretch, he was shooting 50% from the field and 38% from deep.

Yabusele was formerly the 16th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. He battled one of the toughest introductions to the pro game in the circuit. Stockton played sparingly over his two seasons with the Celtics before being waived in summer 2019. After leaving Boston, Yabusele moved his talents abroad, playing a season in China.

His path continued to Europe, where Yabusele played parts of two seasons with ASVEL Basket in France. Basketball Hall of Famer Tony Parker — the owner of this team. He has played a major role in the promotion of basketball in France. Yabusele’s time with ASVEL helped him regain his form and confidence as he transitioned back to the competitive environment of European basketball.

Last summer, Yabusele became Real Madrid’s star by signing with the team during summer 2021, sharpening his skills on a new, international level. Turns out all those experiences abroad really did pay off, as they culminated in his recent signing with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Yabusele’s inclusion on the 76ers roster would only strengthen their frontcourt depth. He is a versatile player and makes an impact on both the offensive side and defensive side. His unique mix of size and skill at his position represents a massive potential weapon. For now, the team’s focus is on success during the lengthy, upcoming NBA season.
