From an exciting Week 15 of the NFL season, here are some of the top performing players who stole the show. On the field, Myles Garrett continued to be the talk of the league with an unstoppable pass rush. Rookie QB Caleb Williams showed his mettle under pressure. At the same time, Trevor Lawrence made history, and veteran Philip Rivers returned to form after a long absence. These tear-jerking moments served to bookend a week punctuated with cause for celebration, gratitude and ground-breaking accomplishments on the field.
Over the last few seasons, Myles Garrett has become a dominant force in the league, as he currently leads the league in pressure-to-sack rate at a blistering 34.1%. He did all this with at least 200 pass rushes, highlighting his ability to cause chaos in the pocket and affect opposing quarterbacks. In an exciting game in which the score changed hands 15 times, Garrett finished with 1.5 sacks against the Chicago Bears. He notched five additional pressures too, making an even stronger case as the NFL’s best pass rusher.
Garrett’s historic game moved his season sack total to an incredible 21.5. He’s currently only one sack shy of tying the league record! It’s no wonder he has one of the NFL’s second-highest chip-block rates at 26.3%. Against all odds, he sets records and wins championships, proving that no one can outwork and outplay him.
>Caleb Williams Shines Under Pressure
Williams, the exciting new rookie quarterback, showed incredible poise in clutch situations in his most recent game. Most impressively, of throws under pressure he finished 4-of-7 for 91 yards with a touchdown. His overall performance shone brightly as he finished the game with 21 completions on 30 attempts for a total of 267 yards.
His knack for creating magic with limited space is a big reason why he’s been the foundation of his team’s offensive game plans. One of his best plays was a well-timed 22-yard TD strike that showed off his arm talent and touch.

Trevor Lawrence made history during Week 15 by becoming the first player in NFL history to achieve more than five passing touchdowns, at least one rushing touchdown, and over 50 rushing yards in the same game. Lawrence’s performance is beyond impressive. He did this on just 11 completed passes with 216 yards and three touchdowns thrown on passes beyond ten air yards, all new career highs.
Historic Feats and Veteran Returns
He played a great leadership role for his team the entire game. What was most impressive was how he repeatedly exposed the defense’s weak spots. Lawrence’s versatility has made him an invaluable asset for his team as they continue to battle and claw their way towards a surprise playoff push.
In a noteworthy return to action, veteran quarterback Philip Rivers made his presence felt after being away from the game for nearly 1,800 days. He was a very efficient 18 of 26, accumulating 120 yards and 1 touchdown through the air. While this performance cements him as a great player and performance artist, it doesn’t mean he’s washed up. Rivers has been an NFL talent to the field. His leadership will serve to fortify his team’s roster as they face the last rough patches of the season.
Bona fide emerging star WR Amon-Ra St. Brown was this week’s standout performer. He proved to be a phenomenal receiving threat by racking up 13 catches for 163 yards and two touchdowns! He has a knack for creating separation and he was incredibly efficient against zone coverage. He constantly sculpted his routes to exploit weaknesses in the secondary, getting undeniable separation from coverage.
Standout Receivers Make Their Mark
St. Brown absolutely wrecked zone coverage in their last meeting. He caught a stunning 12 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown, just another example of his ability to find soft spots in defensive coverages.
Similar to Puka Nacua during Week 15, Witherspoon grabbed headlines with an impressive performance. He caught 9 of 11 targets for a career-high 181 receiving yards, highlighting his potential as a dangerous receiving threat. Last week against the Cardinals, Nacua recorded five receptions for 139 yards and two touchdowns on vertical routes, demonstrating his capability to stretch the field and create big plays.
Khalil Mack had himself a day on defense as well, causing enough pressure to create both picks for his team in the game. He ended with a team-high eight pressures and turned out to be essential in finding chances for his teammates and stonily colliding with opposing offenses.
Matthew Stafford made defenses pay by hitting play-action passes where they bluffed the run. On the day, he finished 11-of-15 passing for 167 yards and a touchdown, continuing to prove that he can always keep a defense on its heels.
