Gordon, a seasoned NBA player with a career spanning 925 games, has demonstrated his prowess on the court with career averages of 15.3 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 rebounds. Despite being 36 years old, he continues to make an impact, shooting 40.9% from beyond the arc this season. In his 39 games this season, including 13 starts, he has averaged 6.8 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 rebounds.
Drafted seventh overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2008, Gordon has played for several teams, including the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans, Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, and now the Philadelphia 76ers. Notably, he earned the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award during the 2016-17 season with the Rockets, showcasing his ability to contribute significantly off the bench.
The absence of Joel Embiid has further compounded the 76ers' difficulties. Embiid missed his second consecutive game on Wednesday as he undergoes further evaluation following imaging on his left knee conducted on Monday.
