He’s gotten a big enough offer where he can pay for his move out of St. James’ Park. This wish puts both him and the club in a bind.
Eddie Howe, Newcastle United’s head coach, has certainly not been hiding his desire to keep the Swede around. Isak’s training away from the first team raises questions about his commitment amid ongoing transfer speculation. He has been ruled out of their Premier League opener against Aston Villa this weekend with an ankle injury. This injury increases the pressure on Newcastle to act in this transfer window.
