Tom Price, the highly-rated Gloucestershire all-rounder, has penned a three-year deal to join Sussex Cricket. This new deal will begin at the end of the 2025 season. The 25-year-old cricketer made her debut for Gloucestershire in 2020. Since then, he’s been a real bellwether, putting up mind-boggling numbers in all formats.
And it’s not just during his current stint with Gloucestershire that Price has had such an impact, he’s already made 60 appearances. He has been brilliant both as a bowler and batsman. He has taken 115 wickets and made 1,417 runs, showcasing his all-round talent. Price has played a single List A match, bringing his total to 36 matches. He has further made 16 appearances in List A and nine in T20 cricket. Amongst other achievements, he was one of the key architects of Gloucestershire’s T20 Blast triumph in 2024.
As such, showing his vast experience and application, Price has thrived in the County Championship Division Two this season, already claiming 19 wickets. His performance underscores both his current skill and his potential for further development within the sport.
Price’s choice to sign with Sussex After much reflection, Price made the decision to join Sussex. His thanks to Gloucestershire included an admission of the difficulty in leaving his home county and club.
