Titans’ Latham and Simmons Reveal Transformative Weight Loss Journeys

JC Latham and Jeffery Simmons, standouts for the Titans, have gotten their physical fitness to a whole new level. They did this by adopting a new diet and sticking to a strict training regimen. Both athletes are determined to enhance their performance on the field, leading to impressive weight loss and improved overall health.

JC Latham, a freak offensive lineman from Miami, has transformed himself on and off the field. Formerly in the neighborhood of 360 pounds, he now checks in at 337 pounds after losing a whopping 20 pounds this offseason. Latham, who towers at 6’6″, has shown commitment to a pescatarian diet that has been pretty essential to his change. He cut out all fast food—even if it had a salad—to clean up his nutrition.

To show his commitment, Latham has dropped his weight into the low 320s during the season. He took every one of the 51 snaps on Sunday’s game and came out of it feeling great. Even he didn’t escape unscathed, giving up two sacks in his debut against the Houston Texans, one to his former college teammate Will Anderson Jr. As a way to sharpen his craft and keep the weight off, Latham worked with extreme offensive line master Duke Manyweather.

Latham believes very strongly in eating healthy and that is shown through his meal plan. His favorite meal is salmon, asparagus and a cauliflower mash that helps deliver all the nutrition he requires. He mostly eats just two meals a day, 1,000 calories each, with an additional 300 calories in snacks. His snack essentials are granola bars and Skinny Pop popcorn that allows him to stay energized and focused all day long.

In concert with Latham’s development, Jeffery Simmons has experienced a transformational renaissance. Prior to the start of minicamp in early June, Simmons had reported at 297 pounds. His physicality changed too, going from a 42 to a revenge body 38. He took a regimented approach to his fitness and started by cutting out all fried foods, dairy, and pasta. This decision allowed him to zero in on leaner, healthier choices that aid weight loss.

Simmons only eats carbs before practice so he would be fueled for training workouts but not loaded with sugar the rest of the day. For that matter, he maintains a 2,300 calories per day limit. His plan is strikingly similar to Latham’s regimen, with two robust 1,000-calorie meals and 300 calories reserved for snacks.

Both athletes head into the best shape of their careers with the season fast approaching. They’re committed to their own health and fitness. This commitment underlies their deep passion for the sport, which drives them to inspire their teammates and the next generation of athletes.
