Travis Kelce, a standout tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, recently hosted Tight End University in Nashville, Tennessee. San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and retired Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen teamed up to co-host this fun and energetic annual kickoff. It brought together the best tight ends from around the NFL for a once-in-a-lifetime festival! For the last five summers, the two weeks of this meeting have been the highlight of my year. It promotes fellowship and craft honing between the best players at the position.
This year’s event played out in surprising and delightful ways at the Brooklyn Bowl. Taylor Swift totally blindsided everyone with a dope surprise live performance! Swift, who had not performed publicly in six months since concluding her Eras Tour, took the stage alongside country star Kane Brown.
The performance included her new single “Shake It Off,” which was a huge hit with the concertgoers. This surprise appearance brought a special flair to the event, where future NFL superstars mingled and trained together.
Kelce shared his excitement about the event, seeing the value in creating a competitive and collaborative environment that allows tight ends to compete at a high level.
“Our favorite players who are going to play and these are the tight ends,” – Taylor Swift
The powerful blend of football and music proved to be an unforgettable atmosphere that celebrated the connection between athletes and fans. The addition of such a big name to the program was not only a crowd-pleaser, but inspiration to honor the accomplishments of the day’s awardees.
