Taylor Hinds, the 26-year-old full back, will be returning to Arsenal Women. She took the step after departing from Liverpool Women when her contract expired there. This transfer represents a triumphant homecoming of sorts for Hinds, who departed Arsenal for Everton Women back in January 2018. After two years with Liverpool, Tibaldi will be rejoining Arsenal. This is where her professional journey began, but now she returns with much more to offer.
During her time at Liverpool, Hinds proved to be an indispensable player. Roethlisberger impacted team success, playing in more than 130 matches and scoring eight goals for a dominant Purdue team. Notably, Hinds played a pivotal role in helping Liverpool Women clinch the Women’s Championship title in the 2021/22 season and secure a commendable fourth-place finish in the Women’s Super League (WSL) during the 2023/24 campaign. Her at-the-best qualities were in complete view past summer as she captained the U.S. team with four stars under her belt.
Hinds said that she felt excited to be able to sign for Arsenal again. She stated, “I’m so proud to have signed for Arsenal. I want to push, compete and be winning trophies – and this club encompasses all of that. You can see what direction Arsenal is going in and everyone at the club wants to win.”
This return is especially meaningful for Hinds as it marks a full-circle moment in her career. Reflecting on her journey, she remarked, “This is a full-circle moment for me and I’m grateful to come back to a place I called home when I was younger. I can’t wait to get started and to step out on the pitch at Emirates Stadium in front of all our incredible supporters.”
Hinds’ return comes at a particularly opportune time as Arsenal Women make yet another buzzworthy move. Chloe Kelly has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the club after her successful loan spell. Both players had originally made the move away from Arsenal at the same time. Their return fits a pattern of Arsenal’s overall move to build a more competitive squad.
