On Tuesday, Świątek defeated Emma Navarro with a decisive 6-1, 6-2 victory. The match, however, was not without controversy as a double-bounce call emerged during the fifth game of the second set.
The double-bounce call, which video technology identified rather than the umpire, stirred conversation. Despite the setback, Navarro continued play and eventually lost the point. Świątek, reflecting on the incident, admitted uncertainty about the occurrence.

Navarro acknowledged that the contentious point likely had minimal influence on the match's outcome, given Świątek's dominance throughout. As a five-time grand slam winner, Świątek remains unbeaten in sets this tournament, a testament to her formidable form.
Świątek's next challenge comes against American Madison Keys in Thursday's semifinal. Keys, a 29-year-old seasoned player, secured her semifinal spot by overcoming Ukraine's Elina Svitolina in a hard-fought match that ended 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. This marks Keys' third semifinal appearance at the Australian Open, with her first visit to this stage occurring a decade ago. Notably, Keys has yet to reach the final in Melbourne.
