This decision proved fruitful as Ryan Rickelton, opening the innings, played a pivotal role by scoring 103 runs off 106 balls. His composed innings laid the foundation for South Africa's total, supported by significant contributions from Temba Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen, and Aiden Markram, who scored 58, 50, and 52 respectively. Their collective efforts ensured a competitive score for their team.
