Sky Sports Expands Premier League Coverage for Upcoming Seasons

Sky Sports just made the biggest investment ever in televised Premier League matches ahead of the next season. The powerful sports network will more than double its exclusive live match offerings from 128 matches to a minimum of at least 215 matches. This improvement reaffirms Sky Sports’ promise to provide the most comprehensive football content available to its customers.

Starting with the 2025-26 season, Sky Sports will begin to air 215 live Premier League matches per season. This amendment gives Sky Sports full coverage of up to 80 percent of all televised Premier League games. In doing so, Sky Sports further reinforces its role as the premium home of elite football in the UK.

Sky Sports intends to beef up its Premier League programming with additional match coverage. They want to create a deeper, more compelling experience for the people watching. The broadcaster aims to engage fans with innovative features and expert analysis, ensuring that each matchday is filled with excitement and insight.

We made the strategic decision to increase our coverage. This latest move is all part of a larger strategy to get ahead of the growing appetite for live sports content. Communities are still reeling from lost access to football matches during the pandemic. Sky Sports is making the move to capitalize on this growing demand by broadening its content.

Sky is intensifying its competition with additional live matches. Their unique style will lend itself to more detailed pre-match and post-match analysis, immersing fans in the action and helping them understand the nuances of the game.

“Mathys Tel came to FC Bayern as a very young player and took his first steps into top-level international football here. He was a popular figure in our team, always giving his all for the club and the team. It has become clear that the move to Tottenham was the right one for his development.” – Max Eberl

Just as the Premier League’s popularity hits unprecedented heights, Sky Sports has substantially increased its coverage. This boom is occurring in the UK and all over the world. The broadcaster’s action will attract millions of new viewers into the fold. Perhaps more importantly, it will add layers to the football-watching experience for fans everywhere, across all platforms.
