Now welcome to Seth Curry’s 12th season in the NBA. Now, he’s back with the Golden State Warriors after an amazing odyssey across the world of professional basketball. Curry started his professional career with the Warriors G-League system in Santa Cruz. Since then he has been on, wow, get this, 10 different NBA teams. Get ready… He’s coming back to the Warriors! The team has proven they can overcome the financial restrictions that a once financially constrained roster forced them to work within.
Despite being one of their best guards in training camp, the Warriors waived Curry right before the start of the regular season because of their own financial shackles. In a surprise turnaround, the organization actually generated enough prorated salary cap space. Afterward, they announced the signing of him to a full contract—which was ultimately their goal—with the 15th roster spot now left open for the future. Curry’s decision makes sense if you consider Curry’s personal ambitions. Last summer, he and the Warriors agreed that it was about time for him to reunite with his brother, Stephen Curry, on the Warriors.
Despite all of that, Seth Curry has forged an impressive NBA career. He’s hit 945 three-pointers in his career, while shooting an incredible 43.3% from deep! This converts volume into efficiency. This high percentage ranks him seventh all time in the league, showing teams that he could be a tremendous player to have. How he performs will be key as the Warriors endure what may be a long, painful season.
The Warriors are facing current roster issues. Plus, they’ve already hit the second apron limit, forcing them to retain only 14 players as they enter the season. Regardless of that limitation, though they’ve done a good job finding ways to work around their finances to allow for Seth Curry’s return.
As it stands today, all-time NBA great Stephen Curry is again the Warriors high scorer, averaging 27.9 points per outing. As fortune would have it, he is now on the shelf with a left quad strain. With Seth Curry’s recent signing, the organization aims to support its offensive firepower during Stephen’s absence. Seth Curry is to be re-evaluated next week for a yet-to-be-disclosed injury. Until now, his actual diagnosis was shrouded in mystery.
As Seth Curry continues to map his professional path outside of Stephen’s shadow, his return to the Warriors marks a significant chapter in his career. According to the franchise, they are thrilled by his experience and shooting prowess. They think he’ll raise their game as they pursue a successful run this season.
