The Seattle Seahawks’ injury woes continue as both Eric Saubert and Christian Haynes have been placed on Injured Reserve, adding to the team’s struggles this season. Saubert, the No. 2 tight end, is out with an ankle injury. At the same time, Haynes, the other guard, will miss at least the next four contests due to his own health concerns.
On Saturday, coach Mike Macdonald confirmed that cornerback Jaden Love has hit a snag in his recovery from a hamstring injury. Love, who has already missed four of Seattle’s seven games, was anticipated to return this week but will now remain out, compounding the issues within the Seahawks’ secondary.
On their own team Too, the teams’ respective offensive lines are a mess. Haynes’ absence will be a tough adjustment, but whoever fills in at guard over the next few weeks will be key in keeping the running game steady. For now, Saubert’s injury worsens the already thin options available for the coaching staff in the TE room.
Saubert and Haynes both left the game with injuries. Furthermore, starting defensive tackle Jarran Reed is questionable for their next game. Reed participated fully in practice on Friday, providing some hope for his potential availability. Just where he stands continues to be in doubt as the team moves through their normal routine preparing for their next opponent.
The Seahawks are facing a slew of injury obstacles, sure, but they certainly aren’t the only ones. Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is listed as questionable for the game with heel and hamstring injuries. This provides an extra layer of intrigue to an already highly-anticipated match-up between the two teams.
Dareke Young will be unavailable due to a hip injury. Much more impactful, Jake Bobo is out due to an Achilles injury. Standout Nick Emmanwori appeared to have a mild sprained ankle, missing the past three games. This injury now joins a long list of players that are unable to go.
