Scottie Scheffler— the world’s top-ranked golfer and a three-time major winner — almost made it. This weekend, he announced that he will be teeing it up in next month’s Genesis Scottish Open! The week-long prestigious international tournament takes place from July 10-13. It’ll be played at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, and is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and Europe’s DP World Tour.
Scheffler, who turned 28 this month, arrives on the heels of his biggest career victory at The Memorial last weekend. This win is his third title of the season! His remarkable, record-breaking performance continues to raise expectations among fans and fellow competitors, all of whom will be watching closely. In his most recent start at the Genesis Scottish Open this July, he finished T3. Combined with his precise short game, this performance underscored his brilliance on the unforgiving links courses.
The Genesis Scottish Open is sure to draw another top-tier field of players this year. Notable players joining Scheffler include Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Ludvig Åberg, Sepp Straka, and the defending champion Robert MacIntyre.
