Scotland took apart Namibia in their most recent match, claiming victory by a comfortable seven wickets. After Namibia, early on in the tournament, Scotland’s bowlers wreaked havoc to bundle out their opponents for just 74 runs. Darcey Carter, Scotland’s leading run-scorer in their first three games, made 21 runs before her wicket fell. When she departed the field, Scotland left only four runs between them and Namibia’s score. Her contribution was key to the team’s 132 run innings.

Home captain Sarah Bryce lead from the front, smashing an impressive 36 not out to inspire her team. She scored seven fours off only 17 balls! Her aggressive, attacking batting got Scotland over the line quickly and into a winning position. Megan McColl finished off the successful run chase in style, launching a six from her very first ball faced.

Scotland triumphed in their fourth tournament in a row. With this victory, they claimed first place in the table, with all four matches played resulting in an incredible four victories. Namibia is languishing at last place on the table with only one victory out of three matches played so far.

Katherine Fraser on her journey and what winning this match meant.

“It means a lot. I think in particular joining Abtaha, who I idolised for a long time, she’s someone I really looked up to as I moved through the ranks, so to join her at that milestone is really nice.” – Katherine Fraser

Fraser also expressed her enjoyment of the match itself.

“I felt like I was in pretty good rhythm, it was turning out there so that always helps me, but I was having a lot of fun.” – Katherine Fraser
