Manchester United are keen to receive offers for winger Jadon Sancho this summer, according to a report from jointentin. He’s preparing for his return from a successful loan spell at Chelsea. Sancho only has one year remaining on his cripplingly expensive deal, said to be worth up to £300,000 a week. His future is igniting exciting conversations among clubs all over Europe.
That’s building off of his loan spell last year with Chelsea. He was lively and dynamic, scoring five goals and giving ten assists in all competitions. His steady development is something that has continued to keep the England U-21 International on Chelsea’s radar. The club has decided to pay a £5 million penalty fee to Manchester United to escape having to sign him permanently.
Chelsea were reportedly keen on signing Sancho in the January transfer window. The jury is still out on him as one of eight or nine attacking players this summer. After considering all their choices, the club decided against pursuing a full-time agreement.
For Sancho’s part his preference appears to be on the table as a permanent move away Manchester United. Although there is significant interest from many clubs, the effect of his bloated salary may make that a more difficult prospect. A second loan deal certainly can’t be dismissed, especially with the difficulty of his current deal hanging over him.
“Wishing the club all the best moving forward. Truly grateful, Thank you Blues.” – Jadon Sancho
As Sancho’s loan spell comes to an end, and he will return to Manchester United at the start of July, his future is still uncertain. He certainly proved as much during his two-season stint at Chelsea. With the summer transfer window quickly approaching, the burning question on everyone’s mind is if the talented forward will remain with Manchester United or move to a different club.
The 20-year-old winger was among the most valuable players on the market. To date, there have been no detailed disclosures about his net worth. In the context of player valuations, Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has recently been valued at £50 million, indicating the premium placed on young talent in today’s market.
Soccer clubs are still figuring out their approach for next season. At the same time, Sancho’s future will be highly scrutinized, with all eyes likely focused on what Manchester United does should more offers come in over the coming weeks.
