In a thrilling match at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women claimed victory against the team led by Smriti Mandhana. The match, which commenced at 14:00, saw Bengaluru winning the toss and opting to field first. The on-field officials overseeing the game included Bhavesh Patel, Gayathri Venugopal, Narayanan Janani, GS Lakshmi, and Ajitesh Argal.
The match began with Tanuja Kanwar being the first batter to fall, caught by Smriti Mandhana off Rawat's delivery. Laura Wolvaardt followed soon after, bowled by Renuka Singh Thakur for zero runs. Despite these early setbacks, Dayalan Hemalatha managed to score 44 runs before being caught by Rawat off Ahuja’s delivery.
Ash Gardner provided some stability to the innings, remaining not out with a commendable 51 runs. Deandra Dottin contributed with 31 runs before being caught by Wyatt-Hodge off Renuka Singh Thakur. Unfortunately, Simran Shaikh's presence at the crease was short-lived, as she was bowled by Wareham for zero runs.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women amassed a total of 201 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their innings. Renuka Singh Thakur delivered an impressive performance, bowling zero overs for 25 runs and securing two wickets. Wareham also contributed by bowling zero overs for 66 runs and taking one wicket.
Smriti Mandhana, leading her team, made a noteworthy contribution of 57 runs before being declared leg before wicket off Gardner’s delivery.
