Avesh Khan and Akash Singh provided excellent depth up the order, confirming the balanced attack laid out by the team.
The first T20I saw an impressive knock from Phil Salt, who topped the scoring with 30 runs. At the other end, Virat Kohli was the rock of the innings with a brilliant innings of 54 not out. Kohli’s batting was key in helping RCB chase down the target and go on to win the match. The partnership between Kohli and Pooran was key, with the pair looking comfortable against all of the contesting bowlers.
RCB’s bowlers played a significant role in restricting the opposition’s scoring rate. Their relentless controlled disciplined attack applied consistent pressure on the opposing batsmen, earning vital wickets at key times. The team’s ability to adapt their strategies on the field under Pant’s leadership showcased their readiness for the challenges of the IPL.
