2025 NBA Summer League should continue to feature a deep crop of talent. For basketball fans, the event is an electrifying appetizer to the future young stars of the league. Nique Clifford, Reed Sheppard, Dylan Harper, VJ Edgecombe, and David Jones-Garcia have already lit up the hardwood. Their record-setting, show-stopping performances have already received plenty of news headlines and stolen the national spotlight. Nique Clifford was an undisputed powerhouse of the Sacramento Kings. He accumulated an eye-popping 36 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 assists in under 54 minutes of action in two pivotal wins. Aside from Barama, Noa Essengue opened the eyes of scouts after being picked by the Chicago Bulls at No.12. He showcased his offensive ability by scoring 24 points on just 12 attempts. In fact, he recorded only 28 minutes of court time before draining 5 of 9 shots beyond the arc. His remarkable all-around showing was a demonstration of the potential that made him a top-five draft pick.
Josh Broghamer commented on Sheppard’s development: “Incredible for a kid who we’re saying, ‘We’re going to give you the basketball and they’re going to pick you up full court.’”
