Rising Stars and Key Performances in Week 4 Fantasy Football

As the fantasy football season progresses, several players have emerged as key contributors, significantly impacting their teams and fantasy rosters. Those Week 4 standout performances from returnees, surprising rookies, and key plug-and-play options illustrate today’s evolving NFL landscape. Woody Marks, Brenton Strange, Dallas Goedert and Puka Nacua are coming up big. All of them have prevailed with amazing success very recently!

Woodland Hills product Woody Marks, a fourth-rounder from USC, has started to make his presence felt in the pro ranks. Over the first three weeks, he’s had just 12 rushing attempts for 44 yards. This performance has put him on the radar of savvy fantasy owners looking for future breakout players. Brenton Strange has shown he can be trusted with six catches on seven targets in the last two weeks. This repeatability cements his status as the true safe pick.

In another noteworthy performance, Dallas Goedert showcased his elite status among tight ends by scoring 19.7 PPR points in Week 4. Back-to-back weeks of three touchdowns will do that, but he’s been more than just a red-zone weapon over the last two weeks. As fantasy teams gear up for the next wave of roster construction and strategy setting with the first waiver wire, these are players to target.

Notable Performances in Week 4

The fourth week of the NFL season saw several players achieve remarkable feats, offering valuable insights for fantasy team managers. Dallas Goedert’s performance was the most eye-popping, as he contributed a tight end-leading 19.7 PPR points. He found the end zone three times in two weeks. Given this performance, he’s put himself on the short list of hot commodities in fantasy leagues.

Goedert’s productivity streak is a testament to his burgeoning chemistry with his QB and the emerging offensive system. We’ve seen teams that have him win out big because of the difference he’s making and he’s officially a must-start player going forward.

Woody Marks has been emerging as a third running back choice. Despite only managing 44 rushing yards from 12 attempts over his initial games, he shows promise for growth as he gains experience in the league. Fantasy managers have to monitor his growth, particularly if he continues to be given the chance to build on them as the year goes on.

Emerging Talents and Opportunities

On top of their big stars, now like Goedert, new talents, like South Dakota State’s Jake Tonges, are turning heads. In the first month of the season, Tonges has already given us a pair of double-digit PPR outings. His production exploded with George Kittle out with a hamstring injury. This meant the stage was set for Tonges to take center stage.

With teams facing a barrage of injuries and line-up shuffling, Tonges has taken advantage of the playing time that’s come with it. Based on his performances, he should be a name-to-know for fantasy rosters looking for depth at tight end.

Kenneth Gainwell is Contrarian Chris’ favorite as the player making the biggest waves. In Week 4, he followed that up with a monster game as a bully-ball RB. Meanwhile, Wan’Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton combined for six receptions on nine targets, demonstrating their potential to contribute to their team’s passing attack as the season progresses.

Standout Rookies and Unique Performances

As we’ve seen throughout this season from very early on, rookies are taking over the league. Puka Nacua continues to impress with 30 PPR points in Week 4. As his performance alluded to, he is one of the few rookie receivers as of now that have shown they can be a significant contributor for fantasy teams. As injuries are piling up across the league, players like Nacua bring new talent to fill that gap with potential stars who can hit the ground running.

Justice Hill was a revelation this past week with 28.7 PPR points. This accomplishment went through, despite his team’s significant blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. That performance will be key to Hill showing he can deliver fantasy value for you even when the situation is working against his team.

Don’t take your eyes off of Ashton Jeanty. This former Texas star is getting more comfortable with the Las Vegas Raiders. With opportunities likely to arise throughout the season, Jeanty may become a player to watch as fantasy managers look to bolster their backfields.
