Lottie Woad, a 21-year-old English golfer and five-time First-Team All-American at Florida State University, has officially announced her transition to professional golf. Woad was able to make this big decision even as she has one year left of her amateur college eligibility. Incredibly, her announcement comes on the heels of her recent record-breaking run on the Ladies European Tour. On July 6, she won the battle, taking top honors at the Women’s Irish Open!
Woad’s commanding performance at the Women’s Irish Open had her finishing 6 shots clear of the runner-up. This victory catapulted her into one of the up-and-coming stars in women’s golf. Prior to this feat, she showed us all what she was capable of by placing third at the major championship Evian Championship. She made it interesting, too — she was just one stroke off the lead!
Woad has enjoyed a stunning professional baptism of fire! She is currently playing on a newly acquired LPGA card earned through the LEAP program, allowing her to compete on the LPGA Tour. She will likewise welcome inclusion into the Ladies European Tour for the 2026 season.
