Oliver Miller, renowned for his impactful basketball career, has passed away at the age of 54. The National Basketball Retired Players Association announced his death, although the cause was not disclosed. Miller had been battling cancer, as Arkansas revealed during an event honoring its 1990 Final Four team.
Miller's basketball journey began at the University of Arkansas, where he played from 1988 to 1992. He was a standout player, averaging 12.2 points and 6.5 rebounds over his college career. His exceptional performance earned him the Southwest Conference Player of the Year honors in 1991. Miller was instrumental in helping Naismith Hall of Fame coach Nolan Richardson's team reach the Final Four in the 1989-90 season.

Drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 1992 with the No. 22 overall pick, Miller embarked on a professional career that spanned various leagues. The Toronto Raptors selected him as the last pick of the 1995 expansion draft.
