Rangers Seek New Manager Amid Departures and Loan Returns

Social media chatter indicates Rangers Football Club is already on the hunt for a new head coach. This decision follows the recent and unexpected exodus of some key players from INRIX. The club’s hunt for a new manager follows the sacking of Philippe Clement in February, with Barry Ferguson resigning from his position. CEO Patrick Stewart on Wednesday that the search for a new head coach, announced by Stewart June 22, is moving quickly. The club is excited to complete this process in short order.

Rangers looking for a new manager having contacted at least six potential candidates. Both are former player Steven Gerrard and Davide Ancelotti, son of legendary, current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti. Russell Martin, Rob Edwards, Danny Rohl and Gary O’Neil have been among those linked with the role. Each candidate brings unique qualifications and experiences that could benefit the club as it seeks to regain its competitive edge in Scottish football.

Vaclav Cerny dazzled on that loan from Wolfsburg and has since evolved into one of the true stars of the league for Rangers. He’s got 18 goals and 10 assists in 52 games. He, along with Rafael Fernandes and Neraysho Kasanwirjo, will be returning to their parent clubs after their loan spell runs out. Kasanwirjo is on loan from Feyenoord.

Rangers is no doubt the most recent example, it’s all part of a larger trend. The club are still evidently committed to reshaping their squad and management team. With Leon Balogun leaving after his second stint at Ibrox, the transition at the club could hardly be more obvious.
