Rangers Football Club is facing charges from UEFA following incidents during recent matches, including the display of a controversial banner at a Europa League tie and crowd misconduct. The football club expressed its disapproval of the behavior exhibited by some supporters, which included a banner reading "Keep woke foreign ideologies out – defend Europe" during Rangers' Europa League victory over Fenerbahce. UEFA has labeled the banner as "racist and/or discriminatory," leading to charges against the club.
Rangers highlighted that their players and staff were subjected to missile attacks during the Old Firm derby win at Celtic Park. The club found it "shameful" to be charged with such matters and expressed that the disdain for those responsible is shared by the majority of their supporters. The club stated their disappointment with the behavior of their fans, describing the banner as both "shameful" and "embarrassing."
In addition to the banner issue, UEFA has charged Rangers for the throwing of objects and blocking of passageways at the home match against Fenerbahce. The club condemned these actions, stating that such "senseless and criminal behaviour has no place in sport, nor in society." They noted that these behaviors are becoming increasingly common, not only at Rangers matches but across stadiums in Scotland.

They assured that they are actively working to identify those responsible for the misconduct and will take appropriate actions against them. The club reiterated that individuals engaging in such behavior are not welcome at their matches.
