Emma Raducanu encountered a security scare during her match at the Dubai Tennis Championships when a man displaying "fixated behavior" was ejected from the venue. The incident unfolded on Monday in a public area, leaving Raducanu visibly shaken as she began her contest against Karolína Muchová. Trailing 2-0 in the first set, Raducanu approached the umpire to express her discomfort, ultimately seeking refuge behind the chair. Her Czech opponent, Muchová, offered comfort, showcasing sportsmanship amid the tense situation.
Despite the unsettling start, Muchová won the match with scores of 7-6, 6-4. Raducanu, who rose to international fame by winning the 2021 US Open at just 18 years old, is currently ranked 61 in the world. Her recent performances have seen early exits in four consecutive tournaments, although she managed a victory over Greece's Maria Sakkari in Dubai before facing Muchová.
