On Friday, September 12, 2025 — World Suicide Prevention Day — the Premier League shared the launch of this new, important initiative, “Together Against Suicide.” We hope this program helps to fill that need by supporting fans impacted by suicide and those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts. The Premier League understands that suicide has a devastating effect on individuals and the community. Most importantly, it’s taking a proactive stance to combat mental health issues among its fans.
The newest “Together Against Suicide” national initiative focuses on creating a supportive environment. The guide directly addresses those who might be having a hard time with their mental health. Together to help save lives by shining a light on suicide awareness and prevention, the Premier League is showing a real duty of care to its supporters. The goal of the initiative is to confront suicidal thoughts directly by connecting people with the right resources and tools they need to make informed decisions.
To make it easier for players to access mental health resources, the Premier League has implemented several new mechanisms. They’ve developed a new friendly video player, designed specially for Google’s Chrome browser. Due to this adaptation, fans now have more opportunities to access important resources about mental health and suicide prevention.
