Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak recently made headlines after a heartwarming encounter with a young fan at the US Open. The dramatic moment that brought this all to a head came when one of Majchrzak’s matches featured a young fan’s hat getting ripped off. This event led to a rapid viral campaign of huge impact on social media.
After seeing the child in distress, Majchrzak decided he would be the one to find the little fellow. And the way that he reached his followers on Instagram. The efforts of Majchrzak’s work clearly made the difference. He then got to meet the young superfan, who ran up flapping her giant tennis ball-shaped pillow and beamed with delight. Following Majchrzak’s stunning second-round upset win over Karen Khachanov, he convened an unusual presser. He made time afterward to sign souvenirs for the thrilled crowd.
Throughout their meeting, Majchrzak had taken off his cap and gifted it to the young fan as an act of encouragement. Plus, to keep it professional, he gifted him a US Open-branded bag full of goodies, which included another cap. Majchrzak shared a video of the moment on his Instagram stories, an appropriate medium that captured their infectious exuberance.

A ripped intercostal muscle was the cause of the injury, leading to questions about his health long term going forward.
