In the 2024 NFL season, several players delivered standout performances, contributing to their teams' successes and challenges. Among them, Young made a significant impact with the New Orleans Saints, securing 5.5 sacks throughout the season. Meanwhile, Cooper continued to demonstrate his exceptional skills, surpassing the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the seventh time in his nine full seasons.
Las Vegas Raiders faced difficulties, finishing 30th in the league with a QBR of 40.4. In contrast, Sam Darnold had an impressive season with the Minnesota Vikings, ranking fifth in the league with 4,319 passing yards and 35 touchdown throws. However, not all stories were of triumph; Chris Godwin suffered a season-ending left ankle injury after making 50 receptions in just seven games.
Defensive prowess was on display as well. The Chicago Bears struggled, allowing a league-high 68 sacks. Despite these challenges, Sweat stood out with eight sacks and 33 pressures during the regular season. Additionally, he recorded 2.5 sacks in the Eagles' victorious Super Bowl LIX campaign. Mack also made his mark with the Chargers, contributing six sacks and 41 pressures over the season.
Offensive line players like Dalman showcased their skill by leveraging movement to win assignments despite his smaller frame. Johnson enjoyed a career-best year, catching 50 of 65 targets for 548 yards and three touchdowns.
In the secondary, Ward continued to shine with a career tally of 10 interceptions and 59 pass breakups over seven seasons. Moehrig added defensive strength for Las Vegas over the past two seasons with five interceptions and 12 pass breakups.
Baun was another defensive standout in the regular season, amassing 150 tackles, 3.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and an interception. Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers' wide receivers struggled, averaging only 11.0 yards per catch, placing them 30th in the NFL.
