Cincinnati Bengals’ Draft Outlook

In stark contrast is the team that seems set to have the most controversially-dominant draft position this season. This is a great 27.9% chance to obtain the first overall selection. As for their overall odds, they’re currently sporting an amazing 83.8% chance of getting one of the top-five picks. The FPI helps their cause by giving them an absurd 98.0% chance at a top-10 pick.
Those numbers make it more likely than not that this team’s performance will be massively determinative of their long-term arc. The high likelihood of obtaining one of the top picks could allow them to select impact players who can contribute immediately to their success. As they go deeper into the season, doing so will be key to fully making the most of these positive outlooks.

Raising their bottom dollar without securing a high draft pick will be a huge mistake long-term for their rebuilding plans.
