Teams seeded from 1st to 8th will have to wait until Friday, February 21, to discover their opponents, adding an element of suspense and anticipation for fans and teams alike.
For teams finishing in the top eight positions, the format offers a significant advantage as they avoid the initial playoff round. They will engage in matches against winners from the knockout playoffs between seeds ranked 9th/10th and 23rd/24th in the round of 16.
