On October 24, 2025, various NBA teams presented their distinctive court designs for the upcoming NBA Cup, generating excitement among fans and players alike. Each design captures the spirit and culture of their respective teams, allowing them to stand out creatively from one another in this tenacious tournament.
The Orlando Magic released their new court design via Twitter. It features beautiful hues and elaborate designs that pay homage to the team’s culture. Along those same lines, the Philadelphia 76ers opened up their design, focusing on aspects that connect with their engaged fan base. The Washington Wizards followed suit, unveiling a black court patterned with the elements of the team’s connection to the nation’s capital.
The Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors, provided its own court design reveal on their social media. Fans marveled at the sleek new modern look. The Miami HEAT released theirs to much fanfare, making use of a number of Miami-themed motifs. That’s not the route the Los Angeles Lakers decided to take. In honor of the team’s rich history, they called their creation the “NBA Cup Court.”
Other teams joined in on the reveal. The Portland Trail Blazers were the first to reveal a design, one that nods to the team’s steadfast fanbase. The San Antonio Spurs showed off their court, showcasing the team’s long heritage and connection to the community. The OKC Thunder recently debuted a uniform design that pays tribute to the spirit of Oklahoma City. Both the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers were able to show off their special (and repeated) court designs. This truly brought even more visual diversity to this year’s tournament.
Beyond the court designs, Houston Rockets were instrumental in giving us valuable insight into our tournament format. Teams split into 5-person groups. Every team plays two home games and two away games. This unique format provides for competitive equity, with all teams battling for one of the 32 spots in the knockout rounds.
The tournament will see eight teams advance: the best team from each group and two wild-card teams from each conference. These eight teams are getting ready to battle it out for the highly coveted NBA Cup trophy. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and these quarterfinal matchups are sure to excite!
The Phoenix Suns came out with a bang as they debuted their stunning new “Emirates NBA Cup Court” design. This new look adds an alluring international flair to the tournament’s vibrant aesthetic beauty.
For the moment, though, anticipation is high for the 2025 NBA Cup. Creative courts Fans can look forward to an amazing mix of competition and art on these custom built courts!
