NBA Expands Its Global Reach with Games in Berlin and London

Well, the NBA is definitely looking to make their own waves in Europe! Come January 2026, the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic will meet in thrilling matchups in Berlin and London. Looking to witness these exhilarating matchups firsthand on January 15 in Berlin at the Uber Arena! After that, watch more great action on January 18 in London at The O2. This is a historic turning point for the league! The Berlin game would mark the first-ever regular-season NBA game in Germany.

It would be the 14th game the NBA has hosted in Germany, 13 games have been held in Germany since 1984. The league is dedicated to their international expansion. It intends to stage a minimum of six regular-season games in Europe each of the next three seasons. Outside of Berlin and London, games will be held at Manchester’s Co-op Live and Paris’ Accor Arena.

George Aivazoglou, the NBA’s managing director for Europe and the Middle East, said he was excited for the future of these events.

“Announcing the next three season’s regular-season games in Europe reflects the incredible momentum and appetite for NBA basketball in France, Germany, the UK and across the region,” – George Aivazoglou.

The London matchup will be particularly significant as it will be the 10th regular-season game played in that city. This increasing presence of NBA basketball in Europe serves to illustrate the league’s goal of finding new and creative ways to connect with its international fans.
