Min Woo Lee, an up-and-coming 26-year-old Australian professional golfer, had the world talking on the morning of Thursday, June 26, 2025. He recently shot a ridiculous 9-under 63 in the first round of the Rocket Classic at the Detroit Golf Club. That performance gave him the clubhouse lead as of the time of his early wave’s finish. It equaled the course record in part due to his extraordinary putting on the PGA Tour.
Beginning his round on the back nine, Lee made a birdie-bogey start but soon got things rolling. He got on a real roll with the putter, making nine birdies over the next 16 holes. His incredible consistency and talent dazzled fans and opponents alike. He finished his round with an incredible closing stretch. He made three birdies in a row to finish, walking off with a flourish!
