The PGA Tour has made preparations for next week’s Memorial Tournament presented by Workday. We’re really looking forward to this new and exciting event, taking place Thursday, May 29th through Sunday, June 1st, in Dublin, Ohio. Some of the greatest golfers on earth will converge on this invitation only, highly competitive event. They’ll do battle for a stunning total purse of $20 million.
… and defending champion Scottie Scheffler is just as adamant about defending his title at Muirfield Village Golf Club. He’d won the 2024 Memorial Tournament at that same location. The winner of this year’s tournament will receive a massive $4 million prize! They’ll receive 700 FedEx Cup points – the bloodline of their place in that season-long competition.
He’s hardly the most conspicuous player on the impressive list of competitors. Other big names in the field are Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Ludvig Åberg and Patrick Cantlay. Their inclusion solidifies what is going to be an exciting tournament full of premier talent and fierce competition.
First-round coverage for the event begins at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. Fans can look forward to all the wide-ranging coverage, including a common opening feed, featured marquee group broadcasts, featured groups and hole-by-hole highlights. This model invites consumers to interact with the tournament from a variety of perspectives, maximizing their experience along the way.
As one of the PGA Tour’s longest-running events, the Memorial features plenty of history and traditions. It has turned into this can’t-miss event every year. Rest assured players will go horse to the wall to win. Spectators will witness an amazing demonstration of talent and athleticism over the four-day event.
