Manchester United Engages in Strategic Moves for Key Players Dorgu and Garnacho

Manchester United have initiated discussions to acquire Lecce's left-back, Patrick Dorgu, as part of a strategic move to strengthen their defense. The 20-year-old Denmark international has become a priority under the management of Ruben Amorim, who has emphasized the importance of the wing-back role since taking charge. Lecce has set the transfer price for Dorgu between £25.4 million and £29.6 million (€30 million-€35 million).

The potential transfer has generated significant interest, with Dorgu's representatives receiving numerous enquiries. This comes amid reports that Manchester United is open to selling the player for an appropriate offer. The club aims to enhance their PSR status and generate funds for squad reconstruction.

Simultaneously, Alejandro Garnacho’s future at Manchester United is under scrutiny. Although not actively seeking a move, Garnacho has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Napoli and Chelsea. Napoli's initial bid fell short at just under £40 million, but they are preparing to increase their offer by an additional £20 million to tempt Manchester United into making a deal.

Chelsea has yet to formalize their interest in Garnacho, though they hold a favorable view of his potential contributions. Additionally, clubs from Spain and Germany have made inquiries with Garnacho's representatives regarding his availability.

As Manchester United evaluates its options, it is considering the long-term future of Garnacho within the team. Other potential candidates to fill the left-back position include Nuno Mendes and Milos Kerkez, though Dorgu remains the most cost-effective choice.
