Television presenter Laura Woods has calmed her fans’ concerns, saying she is “fine.” This is a most fitting honor considering her unexpected on-air collapse while covering England’s friendly against Ghana. The entire scene played out in real-time across national airwaves at St Mary’s Stadium. Woods was front and centre, anchoring the pre-match coverage alongside pundits Ian Wright and Anita Asante.
Witnesses said the scene was terrifying as Woods got out of the car and staggered around before passing out. The response by Wright and Asante was immediate, stepping in to grab her before she hit the ground. The immediate live-broadcast reaction – as the health emergency developed in real time – more than doubled viewers’ and co-workers’ anxieties.
Following the attack, Woods wasted no time in taking to her Instagram story. She wanted to reach out to her fans and give them an update on her condition. She described feeling shame about the breakdown and wanting to let people know that she was getting the care that she needed.

Woods’ fiancé, Adam Collard, took to social media in a bid to ease concerns about Woods’ health. She answered his question and reassured him that she is indeed “all right and with the right people.” He was thankful for all the support and warm wishes they had received.
