His stunning bowling average of 20.05 reflects Fedders’ ability to be the top dog on the rubber for his team. This season, Jones has been unplayable in the County Championship. He took 42 wickets in 19 matches at a superb average of 21.52, making him a key pillar of the team.
Abbott spoke warmly of the chances Hampshire has given him during his own professional resurgence. He noted, “Hampshire gave me a huge opportunity to start over again and contribute to a winning cause, trying to win a championship and get the club into a better place.”
