In a thrilling encounter in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings produced a T20 masterclass. They delivered against Peshawar Zalmi as they achieved a mammoth target of 129 runs for only 2 wickets in 13.2 overs. The game was all about the incredible individual performances. Captain Babar Azam was the star of the show, finishing not out with 55 runs and leading his side to an incredible victory.
A tremendous atmosphere enveloped the full to capacity stadium and it didn’t take long for the Kings to stamp their authority on the game. Saim Ayub was the player with the most impressive contribution, scoring 47 runs. Sadly for Haris, he didn’t get away from Vince and was bowled by Abbas. Haris joined the tally with 9 runs. He got sacked when Vince caught him and Hassan bowled him out.
Rookies like Babar Azam’s calm innings became very important as the young batsmen kept his cool at all times helping the Kings to a winning position. Taking the attack with him, Tom Kohler-Cadmore aided the cause with his own 12 runs, ending not out as the innings finished.
Bowling wise, Peshawar Zalmi had a tough job to stop the Kings’ batsmen from running riot. Mir Hamza’s 3 overs had an economy rate of 8.33. On the other hand, Nabi bowled 4 overs and had an economy rate of 9.00. Although Hassan showed some control with 2 overs at an economy of 7.00, the other bowlers struggled to contain runs. Abbas bowled 2.2 overs with an ER of 12.00. It was a debut for the ages. Aamer Jamal completed his match figures with a stunning 10.00 in one over, while Khushdil was not far behind, recording an economy of 11.00 in his one over.
