Kai Trump, Donald Trump Jr.’s eldest daughter, pictured above, is looking forward to her long-awaited debut on the LPGA Tour. She’ll be making her final start at The Annika driven by Gainbridge. The competition is scheduled for November 10-16, 2023, at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. She has earned a sponsor exemption into this storied tournament.
Beyond that, the Annika shines as one of the last true showcase events on the LPGA calendar. Year-in and year-out, it attracts one of the most competitive fields of any tournament, featuring most of the top talent in women’s golf, outside the majors. Kai Trump is sure to headline much of that attention. In addition, her family connections and burgeoning stature in the golf world will certainly shake things up.
Kai is now a senior at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach County. Next year, he’ll don the green and orange of University of Miami Hurricanes. She is currently ranked 461 in the AJGA Girls rankings and has played in three events this season. Her ascent in the sport is complemented by her substantial social media influence, boasting over six million followers across four platforms. This diverse base of support helps to further engage younger fans and new audiences with the game of golf.
On November 12, Kai will participate in the pro-am to boot. WMBA star Caitlin Clark will join her, returning for the second year in a row. This partnership definitely puts the tournament on the map and creates a unique aspect of collaboration between sports.
Kai Trump expressed her excitement about competing at this level, stating, “My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour.” Her ambitions dovetail beautifully with the LPGA’s drive to promote their up-and-coming talent. Ricki Lasky, an LPGA representative, noted, “Sponsor invitations are an important way to spotlight emerging talent and bring new attention to our tournaments and the LPGA.”
Kai is the founder of a new apparel and lifestyle brand. Beyond her athletic endeavors, this groundbreaking initiative seeks to uplift young female athletes as well. This collaborative effort is a testament to her commitment to inspiring more women to be active and building that community together.
As she prepares for her debut on the LPGA Tour, Kai Trump’s journey embodies a blend of tradition and modernity, bridging her family’s legacy with her own ambitions in golf. Her performance at The Annika could be a significant stepping stone in what many hope will be a bright future in professional golf.
