Football fans take note … the University of Wyoming will be honoring Josh Allen—best known as the remarkable quarterback for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. In a special ceremony, they will retire his jersey number 17. This momentous competition will be held in Laramie. Allen has been a celebrated figure there ever since his days as a student-athlete on their gridiron. It’s a huge accomplishment, making him the very first Cowboy to ever win this honor, bringing in a historic award to the small university in Laramie’s athletic program.
Allen was selected seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft, making him Wyoming’s highest draft pick.
