Jim Furyk Returns as Vice Captain for 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup Team

Jim Furyk, a golf legend with an illustrious career, has been appointed as vice captain for the U.S. team in the 2025 Ryder Cup. At 54 years old, Furyk brings a wealth of experience to the team, having represented the United States in nine consecutive Ryder Cups from 1997 to 2014. His appointment by U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley marks his fourth time serving in this leadership role.

Furyk's impressive career features nine Ryder Cup appearances, second only in team history, and ties him for third place with 34 career matches played. He has also achieved significant success on the PGA Tour, with 17 victories, including a notable win at the 2003 U.S. Open. His remarkable performance in 2010 earned him the title of PGA Tour Player of the Year. Additionally, Furyk has demonstrated his prowess on the Champions Tour with three wins.

As vice captain, Furyk will collaborate closely with Keegan Bradley, Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker, and Kevin Na to strategize and lead the U.S. team. The objective is clear: to reclaim the coveted Ryder Cup. His previous experiences as vice captain during victorious campaigns in 2016 and 2021 and his tenure as captain of the U.S. team at the 2018 Ryder Cup further solidify his leadership credentials.

Keegan Bradley emphasized Furyk's strategic advantage to the team, stating:

"Having Jim as a member of our leadership team is a huge advantage for us moving forward," – Keegan Bradley

Furyk expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the team's efforts once again, saying:

"I am truly honored to be chosen as one of Keegan's vice captains for the 2025 Ryder Cup," – Jim Furyk
