Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has made a remarkable recovery from his first-ever concussion sustained on December 22 against the Washington Commanders. Despite missing the Eagles' final two regular-season games, Hurts cleared the concussion protocol and will take the field against the Green Bay Packers this Sunday. The team remains optimistic about his performance, given his impressive 14 rushing touchdowns this season.
Hurts returned to practice this week, initially in a limited capacity on Wednesday before participating fully on Thursday. This progression has pleased Coach Nick Sirianni, who expressed confidence in Hurts' readiness.
"They've got a lot of reps together prior to the last couple of weeks," – Nick Sirianni
"A lot, a lot of reps together. So that's not a concern of mine. I just feel like we're in a good spot going into this game." – Nick Sirianni
In the season opener against the Packers in Brazil, Hurts completed 20 of 34 passes for 278 yards, including two touchdowns and two interceptions. Throughout the season, he accumulated 2,903 passing yards, with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions, even playing through a broken finger on his non-throwing hand late in the season.
Wide receiver A.J. Brown did not participate in Thursday's practice due to a knee issue and needed rest, while DeVonta Smith missed Friday's session with back tightness. Nevertheless, Hurts' familiarity with Brown should ease their reconnection on the field.

Hurts' dedication to his daily routine underscores the challenges he faces when disrupted by injuries. However, his return to full practice signals his readiness to lead the Eagles against the Packers. Left tackle Jordan Mailata praised Hurts' performance in practice, noting that he "looked sharp."
