Jake Browning will step in as the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals this week as they prepare to face the Minnesota Vikings. Browning, an Grapevine, TX, native who made the Bengals’ initial 53-man roster in 2021, did not originally stick with the Bengals. Cincinnati claimed him shortly thereafter and he has since settled into a strong role on the Bengals’ roster. Or at least that’s how his confidence has bubbled over during these unforgettable years. Now, he’s the one at the helm for his Bengals during an important juncture. Their starting quarterback, Joe Burrow, is officially on IR with a turf toe injury. Browning will therefore have the keys and be the unquestioned starter at least for the first four games. Burrow is set to miss about three months after going under the knife.
