The All-Star break marked a particularly difficult stretch for him, exacerbated by ongoing shoulder soreness over the last three-plus months. In light of these challenges, Morant admitted he should have sat out the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder to allow for recovery.

"To seal the game, I shot a 3. That should show my confidence right there."

"Obviously as a competitor, if you kind of feel like something ain't going your way, you get frustrated."

"Obviously I've been frustrated, been receiving techs, so just trying to go a different way about it."
