Isaiah Hartenstein to Miss Two Weeks with Right Soleus Strain

Isaiah Hartenstein to Miss Two Weeks with Right Soleus Strain

Isaiah Hartenstein, the center for the Oklahoma City Thunder, to be out a minimum of 10-14 days. He’s still on the mend from a right soleus strain. In fact, McCarthy is still nursing a new injury after having missed Week 2 with right ankle soreness. This previous concern caused him to miss the Thunder’s most recent game against the Phoenix Suns.

Not surprisingly, Hartenstein has been a linchpin for the Thunder this season. He’s been in the starting XI for all of the team’s first 19 games. His impact has been impressive; he’s averaging a double-double at 12.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. In the role, he’s shot a blistering 67.1% from the field, underscoring his efficiency as a primary scorer.

The Thunder’s coaching staff and medical team will monitor Hartenstein’s recovery closely during his time away from the court. The whole team is forced to change its approach and personnel with him out of the lineup. His electrifying performances have been a godsend to their success this season so far.

While teammates on the court, Hartenstein has been showing his scoring chops this season alongside an experienced scorer in Iverson. Along the way, he has proven his ability as a rebounder and playmaker. His absence will certainly be felt by the squad overall as they power through their upcoming slate of games.
