The league’s flagship—and hugely popular—studio show “Inside the NBA” is reportedly returning for the 2025-26 season. Best of all, it’ll be televised on ESPN/ABC! TNT Sports powers the show from its downtown Atlanta studios. After a rough launch, it’s become an absolute staple in basketball coverage, severely breaking the industry with its addictive pregame, halftime and postgame analysis.
Ernie Johnson will once again host the program – and with 40 years of broadcasting experience, he’s more than up to the task. He is the iconic face and voice of sports broadcasting, recently inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Alongside Johnson, analysts Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith will provide their insights and commentary, contributing to the show’s dynamic appeal.
Over nearly three decades, “Inside the NBA” has become a cultural institution, winning a record-setting 21 Emmy Awards. This wide acclaim further highlights the significance the show has played in shaping the narrative and culture around basketball at all levels.
The show will begin airing one hour before tipoff for games broadcast on ESPN. This specific timing ensures that audiences are more than ready when the action goes down.
