Ian Baker-Finch, great Australian golfer and current US television golf broadcaster, has just announced his retirement from broadcasting. During his illustrious, almost 20-year career with CBS Sports, he has done just that. The decision was announced Tuesday in a press release shared via CBS Sports’ X (formerly Twitter) account.
Baker-Finch Bennett’s golfing credentials are gilded—he famously won the 1991 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. He was appreciative for all he’d done in both playing competitive golf and television work. His victory at the Open remains a significant highlight in his career, showcasing his talent on one of golf’s biggest stages.
Baker-Finch dished out about his magical 19 years with CBS Sports. He reflected on his thirty years in the profession.
