With an overall solid receiving skillset, Hunter has the potential to be an exciting NFL prospect and a dynamic playmaker. He only recorded 61 catches and six touchdowns in 2024 – a far cry from his impressive 2023 season in which he tallied 85 receptions and nine TDs. Even with all of these changes in production, there isn’t even a hint of worry about Hunter’s long-term standing in the NFL.
At the most recent combine, Hunter measured in at 6-4, 296. That was a huge change from his listed playing weight of 320 pounds for the actual season. At 6-0, 206 pounds, Hunter’s size is just as much an asset as his physicality as a receiver. All the questions about his tape are the exact ones his performance tape calms when scouts and analysts inevitably overthink his NFL projection.
The 2023 season changed the trajectory of Hunter’s career. He soon became a standout performer, making his mark on the pitch hard to miss. His ability to consistently perform under the pressure of being the focal point for defenses speaks volumes about his capabilities. This unprecedented amount of attention from the opposed speaks volumes to his mark and mastery on the game.
