The 2025 PGA Tour Mexico Open is set to captivate golf enthusiasts from Thursday to Sunday at the picturesque Vidanta Vallarta Course, designed by the legendary Greg Norman. A competitive field of 132 golfers will vie for a share of the $7 million purse, with the winner taking home a lucrative $1.26 million. The tournament promises thrilling action, with first-round coverage commencing at 9:15 a.m. Eastern on Thursday.
The second round of the Mexico Open will continue on Friday, starting at 9:15 a.m. Eastern, while the third and fourth rounds will begin earlier at 8:30 a.m. Eastern on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Fans can tune in to watch their favorite golfers via Disney+ and ESPN+ through the ESPN streaming hub, where coverage includes a main feed, marquee group, featured groups, and featured holes.
Defending champion Jake Knapp returns to the Vidanta Vallarta Course, where he delivered a memorable performance last season. Despite a significant setback when he lost a four-shot lead in just seven holes and managed to hit only two fairways in the final round, Knapp's tenacity earned him a hard-fought victory. His achievement marked the fewest fairways hit in the last round of a PGA Tour victory over the past 40 years.
Knapp's recent performance has been strong as well, with a tied-for-17th finish at The Genesis Invitational. Golf fans are eager to see if Knapp can replicate his success and defend his title against a talented roster of competitors aiming for the top spot.
