Dolphins Aim for Third Straight Victory Against Saints

The Miami Dolphins are getting ready to take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 13. They’d like to make it three wins-in-a-row! The team has proved their mettle in recent weeks, registering two wins in a row and getting back into the playoff race. With that kind of performance necessary to continue building momentum, the Dolphins are intent on playing to their game plan strengths.

The Dolphins recently triumphed over the Buffalo Bills in Week 10, followed by an overtime win against the Washington Commanders in Week 11. In a post game conference Coach Mike McDaniel shared how important it is to establish expectations with his team. He stated, “You just leave no gray area — you set forth expectations and then you observe.” This strategy will lead to improved transparency and accountability between all the actors involved. That last point is particularly crucial with a roster loaded with baby-faced talent.

Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins’ sixth-year quarterback, has been a pivotal figure in the team’s resurgence. He emphasized that they had to treat each opponent with the utmost respect, even the ones with losing records. You can’t be the chief, and I don’t think you look at their record. I think you just look at the team for what it is,” Tagovailoa said. His passion for his craft and attention to detail are a testament to the team’s drive towards betterment and triumph.

Miami Dolphins linebacker Bradley Chubb was feeling pretty confident after a few Dolphins wins. “Yeah, it feels like we’re getting some momentum. We put together two pretty good games playing team football,” he noted. Chubb credits the hard work and togetherness of the team. The Dolphins are intent on not just continuing that success.

The Dolphins currently sit three games out of the AFC’s final playoff spot, making this upcoming game against the 2-9 Saints crucial for their postseason aspirations. The squad is certainly intent on building on their recent successes and maintaining their surge in the pursuit of a postseason appearance.

If you’d like to flip through an incredible win by the Dolphins over the Bills and Commanders. They completely overpowered the Atlanta Falcons throughout Week 8. Unfortunately, they took a major loss very soon thereafter, falling to the Baltimore Ravens just four days later on Christmas Eve. That inconsistency has fueled the team’s motivation to win consecutive games and cement their positioning in the quest for the last playoff berth.

As they prepare for their next two games against the Saints and the New York Jets, maintaining focus will be essential. McDaniel emphasized the significance of clarity and direct communication within the team, stating, “You have to just continue to put forth the effort and energy towards the things that we’re emphasizing, and everybody knows what we’re emphasizing, so it’s hard to hide on our field.”

It’s going to be their toughest opponent yet and the stakes don’t come much higher. Make no mistake — they know what’s coming. Minkah Fitzpatrick, a key player on defense, underscored the urgency of the situation: “We’ve got to win this weekend, that’s what matters.”
